Delete Your Key to Health Account

This page explains how to delete your Key to Health account and the associated data collected by the Key to Health mobile apps, in accordance with the app stores' data-deletion requirements.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion in either of two ways:

  • From the app: Open Settings → Delete Account, then confirm. Your request is submitted immediately.
  • From the web: Sign in and choose Deactivate Account, or email us at [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account.”

If you have an active subscription that was not purchased through Key to Health (for example, through a third party), please cancel it before requesting deletion.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

You don’t need to delete your account to remove individual records:

  • In the app: breath levels, weights, journal entries, and coaching conversations can each be deleted from their detail screen.
  • By email: to request deletion of other specific data while keeping your account, email [email protected] from the address on your account and describe what you’d like removed.

What gets deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we:

  • Permanently deactivate your account so it can no longer be accessed or reactivated;
  • Remove your personal identifiers, including your name, email address, and username;
  • Unpair your Key to Health Bluetooth device(s) from your account;
  • Revoke your access tokens and remove your devices from push notifications.

What is retained

Some records — such as anonymized breath-measurement and weight history — may be retained in de-identified form (no longer linked to you) for analytics, product improvement, and legal or regulatory obligations. Records we are legally required to keep (for example, transaction records) are retained only for as long as the law requires.

Timeframe

Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Account deactivation is permanent and cannot be undone — you will lose access to your account and all of your breath-level history.
